This page is for people who are looking for crew as well as for people who want to crew. If you want to place an ad, copy the form at the bottom of this page, paste it into an email, fill it out and send it to Charlie Clifton. All information is optional, but the more you provide, the better the chance that you will find a match that suits you. If you show up at the Squadron 1½ hours before race start time there is a good chance you will find a ride on a boat. Hanging out at the Squadron before races is the best way to find a ride. Tell the Race Committee that you are available to crew and they will announce it over the PA system. During Daylight Saving Time, the Friday Night Races provide an especially good opportunity because they are fun races and get the best turn out. You should be at the Squadron by 1700 - 1730 HRS. The boats leave the dock at 1800 HRS. Fall through Spring there are races once a month on Saturdays and twice a month on Sundays. Check the SSS front page for times and be there 1½ hours before start time. E Scows race Wednesdays. Contact Jim Barr for more info. 366-1972 |

43-year-old female, 118 pounds, wanting to crew for fun-loving salt(s) willing to teach this eager and passionate 'wanna-be sailor' the ropes. Extremely minimal sailing experience; however, it does include a rather lively bout in a Sunfish on Lake Superior with her then 83-year-old father. Although my experience is most limited, my desire is sincere, and if that isn't good enough, please note, I can make a mean Manhattan, even in rough seas. Amy, 894-4482. mcnam1234@yahoo.com 1/14/08 |
